Volunteers
While giving of their expertise,
energy and hearts, volunteers at Jewish Family Service of MetroWest make a tremendous
difference in the lives of our clients. All volunteers receive ongoing supervision
and training to assist them in their efforts. Roles for volunteers continue
to develop as the agency expands its services. Whether it is for time-limited
or on-going projects, JFS volunteers assist in:
- CARE LINK - days of community-wide
volunteering organized by JFS, in cooperation with synagogues, agencies and
organizations. Projects foster direct connections between volunteers and individuals
in need.
- PROJECT CONNECT - an
ongoing program of friendly visitation/telephone reassurance to support agency
clients.
- EMIGRE RESETTLEMENT &
CITIZENSHIP SERVICES - provide needed help for the newly and not-so-newly
arrived emigre population including the provision of pro-bono legal or medical
services, tutoring, transportation, and assistance with applications for citizenship.
- SUPPORT SERVICES & SPECIAL
PROJECTS - activities which benefit clients directly including administering
client surveys, maintaining the agency library, office assistance and pro-bono
professional services.
